Fairview Court opens residential wing following refurbishment

Welford Healthcare has opened a new wing at Fairview Court Care Home in Kingswood, Gloucestershire, following a refurbishment project.

The home, which provides residential, dementia, respite and nursing care, has increased its capacity by nearly a quarter moving from 66 to 81 beds.

Refurbishment was impacted by the pandemic, however, the completed project now has the additional 15 rooms, all with en suite facilities.

‘We are delighted to have opened our new wing at Fairview Court Care Home, which will increase the provision of high-quality elderly care for people in the Kingswood area and beyond,’ said Pyela Mwale, care home manager at Fairview Court.

‘This extension was a serious undertaking, and like most projects of its scale it has had its ups-and-downs, but we couldn’t be more thrilled by how beautiful the new rooms and facilities are and we’re really looking forward to welcoming new residents to our home.’
